Community Center/Gymnasium Contractor Chosen
On Tuesday, February 6, the Business Committee chose the contractor for the new Community Center/Gymnasium. R & C Construction of Middletown was determined to have the best proposal overall for the resources available.

R & C has been building in Lake County for over 10 years. They are just completing a HUD housing project for the Middleton Rancheria and a USDA project for Nice Mutual Water Co. (Big Valley's project is funded with both HUD and USDA dollars). R & C uses an Indian Subcontractor for all its plumbing and HVAC hookups.

The new Community Center/Gym will be constructed on the Tribe's 6 acre parcel at 1002 Soda Bay Road and will include paved parking for cars. It will include a full court gymnasium with bleachers along one side; a full kitchen with stove, sinks, commercial dishwasher; an office with a classroom; and, the men's/women's restrooms will each include showers and lockers. The gymnasium will be striped for a volley ball court and full court basketball.
